Japan’s growth was buoyed by the return of tourists, who flocked to sites such as the Tsukiji market. TOKYO—Japan’s economy resumed modest growth in the October-December period after government travel incentives and the easing of border controls boosted the number of domestic and overseas travelers. The world’s third-largest economy after the U.S. and China grew 0.2% in the three months to December from the previous quarter, slightly less than consensus forecasts for a 0.4% expansion. In the July-September quarter, the economy contracted 0.3% compared with the previous quarter.
